Who Is HIIT For?

 

This type of fast paced training session is perfect if you are short on time, don't know what your doing in the gym or you don't have much spare change but you'd like to train with us. You need to be a member of the gym at the Abbots Langley YMCA so you can do our recommended warm up before we start.

 

IMPORTANT: HIIT isn't for everyone so if you are interested get in touch and we will be able to let you know if you'd be suited to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 20 minutes enough time?

Studies have proven that just 4 minutes of maximal activity is enough to boost metabolism, burn fat and elicit fitness improvements. in 20 minutes your working 5x longer at an intensity that you'd find t difficult to train for much longer.

 

By the time you've done our recommended 10 minute warm up and optional cool down/ core work your session is 30 minutes plus. Your just with us for the main 20 minutes.

Do I need to be fit to do this?

No. HIIT isn't for everyone, as long as you can move well you can do this form of training. If you're pushing hard you are doing high intensity interval training. Your in the hands of qualified trainers who will know how much to push you.

 

You'll be surprised how fast your fitness will improve.

Why do I need to be a member of the YMCA gym?

We will need you to do a 10 minute minimum warm up before we start our 20 minute session. This is done by yourself as to not eat in to our time.
